Jon Ide (LLB, B. Comm)
Jon is a very experienced criminal solicitor who has been practising in criminal law since 1999.
He is admitted to practice in Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Jon graduated with Law and Commerce degrees from the University of Melbourne in 1990. Before making the move to criminal law Jon commenced his career as a commercial / sports lawyer with a medium sized firm in Melbourne, Browne and Co, who worked closely with the Australian Football League (AFL).
Jon and his family have lived in Alice Springs and Townsville while Jon gained his criminal law experience with the Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Service (CAALAS), Townsville Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service and Legal Aid Queensland. This experience gave Jon a very solid grounding in criminal law and in managing a large client base. Jon and his family moved to the Brisbane area in 2004 where Jon commenced practice in the Woodridge / Logan / Beenleigh area with Howden Saggers Lawyers. Jon also worked with Callaghan Lawyers in Brisbane.
Jon and Emma established Ide Lawyers in the Beenleigh area in 2009 and since then have built a busy practice with a solid reputation for achieving results for their clients. Ide Lawyers represents clients in the Magistrates Courts, District Court and Supreme Court.
Jon takes pride in fighting hard for his clients. He believes everyone has the right to the best defence possible whether you are pleading guilty or not guilty. Jon feels great satisfaction when he achieves a great outcome for his clients, it is what drives him and makes him love his work.

Niamh Fields (LLB Hons.)
Niamh graduated from Griffith University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2015 from The College of Law.
She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia before joining Ide Lawyers in 2015.
Niamh is an accredited duty lawyer and enjoys providing duty lawyer services to the Beenleigh Magistrates Court.
Niamh has a passion for criminal law and believes that all individuals are entitled to excellent legal representation. She takes pride in her ability to provide forthright advice and guidance, advocate for her client's best interests and achieve favourable outcomes.
Niamh appears in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court for her clients most days and can be contacted on 0434 355 732.
Emma is the office manager / law clerk and has been with Ide Lawyers since 2009.
Emma graduated from University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts and has a Graduate Diploma in Information Management and Systems from Monash University. She has extensive administrative and information management experience with large and small corporate firms and the university sector and enjoys working with Jon to achieve the best outcome for their clients. Emma aims to keep the office running smoothly and cheerfully.
Emma enjoys family life, running, walking, tennis, listening to jazz music, doing puzzles and eating out.
Both Emma and Jon enjoy their outdoors active lifestyle.
